What has been your experience when trying to find Holiday Accommodation ?

My wife Veronika and myself had a particularly bad experience in selecting
a Short Term Holiday Apartment in the Melbourne CBD a few years ago.
We had selected our Apartment based on enhanced photos
that we had seen on a website, made our online booking,
but we were not able to speak to anyone as nobody
from the Apartment complex was answering the phone.

When we arrived we picked up our keys from a box,
and looked for the Car park,
as the booking notification stated that they had ample parking available.
But we could not see the entrance to the Car park anywhere,
so we called the Apartment complex ,
with no answer again.
Upon closer examination we noticed that there was a single car cage,
and you were supposed to drive into this cage,
and be lowered to a dark underground car park.

We had arrived late so it was difficult to see what the instructions were
to enable the car to descend into the basement.

.
I was feeling stressed at the time anyway,
and really did not need to deal with this great start to our Holiday.
We drove our Ford Territory into the cage,
and had to nudge the front bumper bar onto the back
otherwise it would not fit in.

After parking our vehicle in a space more suitable for a Mini Cooper,
we went upstairs to see our fabulous Apartment.
.
What a disappointment,
as what we found was nothing like the photos on the website.
The wonderful views that we were promised in the description,
were mainly of the next door buildings wall.
We could have avoided all of this unnecessary stress,
if we had been able to find an appropriate Apartment Accommodation provider
who offered personalised Service.

Unwind Holidays offers a wide range of Holiday Accommodation across Australia,

We decided to start offering a higher level of Customer Service
in South Australia after several poor experiences with Holiday Accommodation providers.

Every year at Christmas time my wife Veronika and I, try to cater for as many of our extended family members as we can at our house , as we see Christmas as an important time for our family and friends to gather together to celebrate and relax and unwind.
I have a lot of brothers and sisters, and so does Veronika, plus we have our parents, and we have our children and growing numbers of grandchildren. So we cannot fit everyone into our House, and as a result we were regularly contacting Holiday Accommodation providers well in advance of the Christmas period, for help every year with locating suitable accommodation.
I was regularly told by the Accommodation providers (para-phrased),
" Work it out yourself mate , I don't have time for this, go to our website , NEXT ! "
After talking to many other people about their experiences in booking Holiday Accommodation, I found that there was a unanimous reaction to bad customer service from everyone I spoke to. Responses ranged from " zero care factor " , "nobody answers their phones when you need them", "what I booked online was not what we got", to "I will never book with them again because they were rude and inconsiderate".
At Unwind Holidays we aim to make your experience in booking Holiday Accommodation as satisfactory as we can, by providing contact with an actual person who cares, and not just dealing with a computer .
